Letters to the Editor

Displeased with article
I was not at all pleased with the Sentinel article, "Shark research group, former member reach settlement." It neglected to inform the readership that part of the settlement includes the return of $10,000, and recovery of the disputed data in addition to the written letter of
apology.
The entire field study aspect of the effort was conducted upon my Pelagic Shark Research Foundation permits and with PSRF assets.
Moreover, the article closes with the false and perfidious allegation made by UCSC "scientist" Le Boeuf and his Stanford associate Barbara Block that "He does not write scientific papers."
This does violence to the fact I have co-authored three papers in as many years, one article in the Journal Pacific Science and another two papers in the Journal Marine Biology.
